Another aspect of my work. In working with the body directly I often encounter the physiological markers of trauma and other emotional experiences and energy that is held in the body. Polyvagal theory is helping us to understand the natural neurophysiology that allows both the storing and release of these energies in a therapeutic setting. Its a primer that I wish every patient of mine had prior to starting treatment for any condition, as we all have these energies held in our bodies to varying degrees.
